The idea for the
story began when I wanted to create a short film which
combines live action and 3d object. But it will be
difficult and complicated when come to its detail parts where
require me to pay particular attention to the position,
perspective and size of the object when the view is
moving. So I simplified the idea to make special effect
instead of 3d object. It is much easier because they are
'random', so that audience won't notice its actual shape,
size or position if I'm not do it correctly. Soon after that I came out with the idea to
make a simple fighting scene with 'DragonBall' style.
They're fighting... for a
locker
About the story,
'Fight for a Locker' that run about 2 minutes was actually
my experimental short film before I use the technique into
what I really wanted to create next time. No script, no
planning for the actions and I just asked my two room mates
to act in front of the camera immediately when the idea
came. During that time, we also didn't plan the reason of their fighting. I got that during compositing work when I noticed one of the actors standing
near the locker and immediately I said 'Yeah, fight for a
locker!'
Most of the
special effects used in the movie were particle system
provided in 3dsmax and glow effect was added to make it more
realistic.
